Being able to download emails to a cell phone is a blessing. You may not think so, but it really is. I was stuck on a bus for over 3 hours today heading into and out of NYC for an interview, and that time would have been completely wasted were it not for mobile technology and mobile email.
Many people find it to be intrusive--especially BlackBerrys--but I find the opportunity to connect is very valuable. Not only did I sort through some good business opportunities and respond in a timely way, I was able to get right into the swing of things when I got back to my home office. No wasted time sorting through my emails.
Whatever did we do without it?
Of course, the people who insisted on leaving their mobile phone ring tones at ear-shattering volume levels did manage to get on my nerves a bit. So, thank goodness for noise cancelling headphones as well...
